SPIRIT
OF CAROLINA DINNER CRUISE Cruise
Charleston's beautiful harbor by moonlight aboard the 100' luxury yacht, Spirit of
Carolina. Enjoy the unique sights of our harbor at night as well as a delicious dinner in
a romantic atmosphere. The view of the city and its church spires is fantastic from the
water and the sunsets are glorious. Dance to the music of a live band. Entree choices can
be made at the table. Alcoholic beverages and optional dessert menus are on your own.
Dinner Menu: Charleston She-Crab Soup, Spirit Signature Salad with assorted homemade
dressings, Choice of Beef, Seafood, Chicken, and Pasta Entree. Chef's selection of
potatoes, rice, or pasta, fresh seasonal vegetables, freshly baked breads w/ sweet cream
butter, pecan pie, coffee, tea or decaffeinated coffee.

MIDDLETON
PLACE PLANTATION EVENING
Journey to Middleton Place Plantation, which boasts the oldest and one of the most
beautiful formal gardens in the United States. Stroll with your guide through these
beautiful gardens laid out by Henry Middleton in 1741 and visit the stableyards which
depict life on an 18th century plantation. In the stableyards you will be treated to
cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres. Complete your evening with a delicious lowcountry
dinner in the Middleton Place Pavilion and entertainment by the Plantation Singers who
will provide authentic renditions of the music that originated in Charleston, South
Carolina. These selections include Spirituals and music from "Porgy and Bess".

PATRIOTS
AND PIRATES AT THE OLD EXCHANGE Spend
the evening at the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon where you will be greeted by a
colonial drummer and costumed guides who will take you on a tour of the Dungeon where
Revolutionary War prisoners and pirates were held captive. In the great hall you will be
entertained with delicious cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the same grand manner as the
city entertained George Washington 200 years ago, and in the Issac Hayne room pirates and
Revolutionary soldiers will play pirate perils and colonial games with you. Includes Open
Bar and Heavy Hors d'Oeuvres. |
| AFTERNOON
TEA AT THE WILLIAM AIKEN HOUSE Step
back in time and travel by carriage to the William Aiken House for a very special
Charleston Tea. Upon arrival at this beautifully restored National Historic Landmark you
will be greeted by Southern belles and taken on a brief tour of this magnificent home and
its lovely garden. Fully restored to its 1811 condition with richly painted walls, lavish
interiors, period antiques and opulent trim details this magnificent example of adamesque
architecture boasts one of the largest private art collections in Charleston and creates
the unique appeal of 19th century haute couture. During the course of your visit the
home's sweeping ballrooms, delicate drawing room, gentlemen's study, and two formal dining
rooms will enchant you. What a perfect way to end your visit to one of America's most
historic cities.

AN
EVENING ON BOARD THE USS YORKTOWN
Journey across the Cooper River to Patriots Point where your guest will experience
Charleston from an entirely different perspective. You and your guest will be treated to
cocktails and heavy hors d' oeuvres on the hangar deck of the Yorktown, the famous
fighting lady of World War II. If you like, dress up as the aviators who so valiantly flew
from this famous ship's decks. Stroll through the hangar deck and take in the history of
this ship as you view the different Naval Aircraft and War Memorials throughout the
evening. While you dine enjoy the sound of light Jazz, and after dinner kick up your heels
to the sounds of Beach Music. This evening will truly be a memorable experience for you
and your guest. |
JAZZ ON THE CREEK AT BOONE
HALL
Journey across the Cooper River to historic Boone Hall Plantation which was used in the
filming of the television mini series, "North and South" and "Queen"
and for background filming in "Gone with the Wind". Upon arrival hostesses in
antebellum costume will take you on a tour of the lovely Georgian plantation house. On
your way to the Dock House you'll stroll past the slave quarters built from brick made on
the plantation in the 1800's. It was in these quarters and others throughout the south
that jazz had its origins. When you arrive at the Dock House you'll step into a jazz club
of days past. As the sun sets over Wampancheone Creek you can't help but lose yourself in
the soulful strains of this wonderful music. Here you will be treated to cocktails,
succulent seafood appetizers, and a delicious lowcountry buffet. Later in the evening kick
up your heals to some of those great rock and roll songs which had their origins in jazz
and blues. |
