REVOLUTION
IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Did you know that there were more Revolutionary War battles fought in South Carolina than were fought in all of the other colonies combined? Two of these battles turned the tide of the American Revolution in favor of the Patriots.

On this unique tour led by an expert Revolutionary War guide we will retrace the steps of South Carolina’s brave Patriots and the English aristocracy and British loyalists whom they fought from the coast to the frontier settlements of South Carolina.

Our route will take us from Charleston and the lush marshes and islands of the low country

to the sand hills of the midlands and the rolling hills of the piedmont.

The stories of neighbor fighting neighbor and family fighting family in this truly civil war will both inspire you and break your heart.

On this seven day tour which travels the back roads of South Carolina we will visit battlefields, plantations, historic homes, churches, and public buildings as we explore the highways, byways, and small towns of one of the most beautiful states in the union. Along the way we will learn all about the life of the wealthy planters who lived on the coastal plains and made fortunes growing rice and indigo, the hardy farmers of the midlands and the rugged frontiersmen of the up country.
